🌍 Globers in Guadeloupe: A Transformative Experience with Opportunity Oasis 🌴
From July 16 to 25, 2025, the team from Associació Globers—Jorge, Paula, Assya, Elisabet, and Nazareth—embarked on an unforgettable journey to Guadeloupe as part of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “Opportunity Oasis.” This initiative, supported by the Erasmus+ KA1 program, brought together young people from Spain, Latvia, Finland, Croatia, and Guadeloupe (France) to develop key skills and build international solidarity.

A Project with Purpose
Opportunity Oasis was designed to tackle one of the most pressing issues facing young people today: youth unemployment. The program combined non-formal education with hands-on training in areas such as:

Digital literacy and online tools

Entrepreneurial thinking and innovation

Emotional intelligence and soft skills

Cultural understanding and teamwork

Leadership and active citizenship

By focusing on real-life tools and inclusive practices, the project aimed to equip participants with the skills and mindset they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Living and Learning Together
In Guadeloupe, the Globers team shared accommodation and daily workshops with participants from diverse backgrounds, creating a truly multicultural environment. Through collaboration and shared challenges, participants broke language and cultural barriers, forming strong connections and growing personally and professionally.

Each day was filled with interactive activities, group discussions, outdoor sessions, and creative problem-solving—all rooted in non-formal education methods. A highlight of the exchange was a cultural discovery day, where participants explored the history, nature, and identity of Guadeloupe.
